Sorry if this is just another pointless ramble but I need to talk to someone for advice. I can't talk to my mother because this is what the post is about. To make a long story short..
I started driving last year. So far, I just have my permit but should already have my license by now. I'm not afraid of driving, it just takes me a while to get used to it. I will eventually get my license. I just need a lot more practice.
Anyways, my mother thinks that since I havn't went after my license yet and havn't drove much that I will turn out just like her. She is afraid or cars and driving. My dad has to drive her everywhere.
I want to get a job at an art called Micheals but it's to far for me to walk so my dad would have to take me till I got my license and a car. I have asked over a month now for him to take me back and turn my application back in for the job.
Thanks to my mom, I don't think I will ever get over there again. She told my dad not to take me over there because he wont be doing me any favors by driving me over there and picking me up all the time because I have to be driving.
The major point is, she went behind my back and sorta backstabbed me the way a friend would. She also lied to me. She said she trusted me in everything. But I guess she doesn't trust me that I will ever drive. I know she is doing it out of love but she needs to go with her words and trust me.
Now here's your part. Do you think I am throwing this whole situation out of hand? If not, what should I do about it? It's not the first time something like this has happened. She has done other things like this to me.
If I have to, I'll fricking walk or ride my bike the 20 mile trip to work and back everyday because I love drawing and art. Argh! I'm so confused and hurt. I can't even trust my own mother anymore.

~~?Cu?ndo no puedo confiar en mi propia madre, que puede confianza en ?

Something that might seem small to outsiders can be upsetting! So it's ok to feel hurt.

I would concentrate on getting a license.

Does your dad take you out to practice? I think if you show your mom you are serious, she will back off.

If you dad can't take you practicing, can you go with a friend or another relative? All else failing, save your cash and get lessons or ask for driving lessons for a present.

If you actively schedule a date for the test, that will make you practice and make people take you seriously.

Good luck on the job! One word of warning - it is bad to work for a place where you like the stuff they sell, you will never ever bring home any of your money...

you might be better off getting a job near by that will make you save money and then you can buy your art stuff anyway : )

good luck!!

Red face

I did find out why my mother has been acting so different towards me though. She talked to me yesterday saying she was thinking of sucide and that she just doesn't want to play the game of life anymore. She says she needs and wants to get serious help. She doesn't believe that anyone can help her t hough. I'll keep praying that she is all right.

take her to a doctor. Maybe some sort of medication or therapy would help?

try counselling...you have to find whats wrong.

if the anti-d's haven't worked then maybe she needs a stronger dose?

they take 3 weeks to kick-ion remember...how long was she on them?

She was on them for over a year. The doctors di increase the dose but that still didn't help so I guess she does need counselling. Maybe she needs a different type of anti-D?
